Description
ACVMS:1997.3720 A letter sent to a school student from King George VI on 8th June 1946; the day of London Victory Celebrations after the end of World War II. The letter begins ‘Today, as we celebrate victory, I send this personal message to you and all other boys and girls at schools. For you have shared in the hardships and dangers of a total war and you have shared no less in the triumph of the Allied Nations.
