This is a photograph taken in 1947 of Fusilier Bruce McCay of 1 RWF in Gevelsberg, Germany in 1947. Bruce served with 7 RWF between February to July 1945, before a serious illness resulted in his repatriation to the UK. He re joined his regiment in Germany after the war ended but this time to 1 RWF. This photograph shows him in uniform sitting on a window ledge of a building in the town. Bruce's story along with photographs and sketches he has drawn, in his collection in the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples Collection Wales website.
