This is a copy of an original photograph taken by RN Photographer on board HMS Formidable. Ernest Gane was a member of the crew of HMS Formidable in World War Two. This image is lifted from a full photograph of the ships company as the ship called in at Sydney Australia. Ernest took many photographs on his own 35mm camera and kept them in his photograph album. His album is now preserved for the nation at the National Library of Wales.
