This photograph was provided by Mr Ernie Hughes, who served as a RAF Fireman at RAF Eastleigh during the Kenyan emergency of the 1950's.  The image captures the salvage operation of a destroyed aircraft following a serious crash. Ernie attended multiple rescue and recovery operations in Kenya.
