This photograph was provided by Mr Ernie Hughes, who served with the RAF in Kenya during the Kenyan emergency of the 1950s. Ernie was a Firefighter at RAF Eastleigh and supported 1340 flight. 1340 was a specially formed flight flying the Harvard. Ernie is pictured here in the 2000's with his wife. They are standing in front of a long-retired Harvard with other participants at a 1340 flight reunion event.  Ernie's photograph collection can be viewed online at the West Wales Veterans Archive National Service collection on the People’s Collection Wales website.
