This photograph was provided by Ernie Hughes, who served as a 'Firefighter' at RAF Eastleigh in Kenya in the mid 1950's. Ernie has kept several photographs from his time in Kenya, which offer excellent insight into 1950s life of a RAF serviceman, serving overseas in the 1950s. This photograph shows graffiti daubed on a door in the camp. Airmen were protesting against poor conditions and food.
