Graffiti at RAF Eastleigh Kenya
Description
This photograph was provided by Ernie Hughes, who served as a 'Firefighter' at RAF Eastleigh in Kenya in the mid 1950's. Ernie has kept several photographs from his time in Kenya, which offer excellent insight into 1950s life of a RAF serviceman, serving overseas in the 1950s. This photograph shows graffiti daubed on a door in the camp. Airmen were protesting against poor conditions and food. The full photograph collection can be viewed online at the West Wales Veterans Archive National Service collection on the People’s Collection Wales website.
