This photograph was provided by Ernie Hughes, who served as a 'Firefighter' at RAF Eastleigh in Kenya in the mid 1950's. The Firefighters from RAF Eastleigh attended many crashes during the period of the Kenyan emergency, including this one, involving an Avro Lincoln bomber of 49 squadron. Ernie has kept several photographs from his time in Kenya.
