This photograph of 49 squadron Avrom Lincoln bombers was provided by Ernie Hughes, who served as a 'Firefighter' at RAF Eastleigh in Kenya in the mid 1950's. Ernie has kept several photographs from his time in Kenya, which offer excellent insight into the life of a RAF serviceman, serving overseas in the 1950s.
