Meeting with Julie Churchill-Hall and members of Penley Choir to introduced the Scarce Yellow Sally project.
Julie made contact after seeing my call out on Facebook for someone to play the part of ‘Sally’ in the film work when Sally Met Sally. Julie had a collection of 50s outfits that I could use in the film. I present my research to the group, and this triggered a conversation about the invisibility of the Scarce Yellow Sally. The invisibility and vulnerability of the Scarce Yellow Sally makes this animal humanly relatable. This inspired Julie to reflect on nature and make a direct connection to the importance of ‘being seen” and “visible” I produced an audio recording of this conversation with Julie.
