This photograph was provided by Ernie Hughes, who served as a 'Firefighter' at RAF Eastleigh in Kenya in the mid 1950's. Ernie has kept several photographs from his time in Kenya. Firefighters from the Fire section at RAF Eastleigh conducted rescue and recovery operations throughout Kenya during the emergency period in the1950s.
