This material supports the work of the West Wales Veterans Archive National Service project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. David Norris from Aberporth was called up for National Service in 1952. He served his two years with the Royal Corps of Signals, with the majority of his service completed overseas. After leaving the Army, he went on to enjoy a long career in the Merchant Navy and travelled extensively on several ships. David and his wife Marion have provided photographs and material from his service in the Army and Merchant Navy, which bring his story to life.
