This material supports the work of the West Wales Veterans Archive National Service project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This is a photograph of a US Sycamore helicopter taken by a soldier from the Welch regiment during the Korean war. Bernard Phillips of Llanelli, the owner of the image explained how the British soldiers were amazed at seeing a helicopter, many for the first time.
