Description

When Wales exhausted its supply of timber for pit props, wood wasimportedfrom overseas. This included spruce pine from Norway.
Welsh ports had a very strong link with Norway, and many Norweigan sailors eventually settled in Wales - including the father of the childrens' author Roald Dahl. The Dahls settled in Cardiff, and worshipped in the Norweigan Church in Cardiff Bay - now a visitor attraction.
