Description

This whole area was once coveredwith industrial ponds which supplied the mines, ironworks and forges. Many of these are now disused, some have been filled in. Others werereclaimed by nature and have become hotspots for wildlife.
The museum administrative buildings, workshops and car parks are all sites where a pond was located.
