28. Blaenavon ironworks, August 1798

Description

From this point you can see the whole of the town of Blaenavon, and the way in which industry shaped the landscape. In the distance you can see the whitewashed workers' houses of Stack Square next to Blaenavon Ironworks. These ironworks were the first purpose-built multi furnace works in Wales, and are the reason the town of Blaenavon exists.
