Description

Probably a 16thcentury building, this property was purchased by a branch of the Stradling family during the time of the dissolution of the monasteries. It became their town house and remained with them until the line ran out. The property then reverted to the maternal line which acquired the title of Earls of Plymouth. This family name then became associated with the house itself.
