This is a recent photo of the premises of London House, 1, Mountain Road, Brynaman. In the 1920s it was a large grocery store ,called The India China Tea Company which employed many workers. This shop was mentioned in the Kelly’s Trade Directory of South Wales in 1923. Previously the shop had been J. R. Jones, Milliner and General Draper. In 1956 Mr Stanley Arthur Jones took over the shop as a China/ Photographers. It was also Gwennie the hairdressers in the 1960s.
