This is now Crib and Siswrn hairdressers. The shop was originally owned by Mr Gwyn Maddocks, who ran an outfitters from 1923 to the late 1960s. The empty shop was later used for the Amman Valley Community Co-operative during the 1990s. Mr Dorian Stonehouse was a project worker for this co-operative. It was later leased by the Welsh Development Agency, as a service to assist ex-miners with redundancy investment.
