This is the site of the old Alpha Cinema and a collection of shops in 1910 and 1923, as mentioned in the Kelly’s Trade Directory. It housed Griff the Fruit, a motorbike shop ran by Mr Staniforth and a Jewish shop keeper. The building was taken down in 1965 and the owner at that time was Mrs Sinfi Williams.
