Description

Despite being born in Scotland, Kirsty Wade competed for Wales as a middle-distance runner. She competed in two Commonwealth Games, winning a gold medal in the 800 metres in 1982 and gold in both the 800 and 1,500 metres in 1986 in Scotland. She also represented Great Britain at the World Championships in 1987 and 1991, reaching the final on both occasions.
