Letter sent home from the First World War by Owen Ashton of Llawryglyn, 13 June 1918 [page 1 of 1]
Description
In this incomplete letter from France, Owen refers to a previous letter from his parents in which they had told him that Tom was in a 'hot' place. Owen discloses that it is 'hot on us here very often, but they are far behind us'. He does not know how the farmers at home will manage the hay harvest if more men are called up. His parents had said that there was better news in the newspapers in the past week.
