W. H. Jones' description which appeared on the back of the photograph:
'This conversion I made for "Sir E. Channing Wills", W. H. Jones.
A hydroplane converted to air propulsion. The engine is a four cylinder in line, air cooled (J. A. P. 40HP. aero engine). The propeller is of the fixed blade type.'
