Transcript: Dear Ethel and Ern, Just a few lines to say I received parcel quite safe and was very pleased with the contents which we all enjoyed. Dear Ethel I am sorry to hear Ern has been so bad also the boys hoping by the time you receive this you will all be quite well again. Dear Ethel and Ern fancy Frank home on leave I should like to see him and have a chat with him I expect he can tell you some news remember me to him I wish I was him on leave. Dear Ethel I am glad to say I am in the best of health as it leaves me at present have you seen Elsie with her false teeth yet I expect she looks al right after being without for so long. Well dears I have not much news at present but will tell you all the news "when" I come home on leave as I cannot put it in a letter. Well dears give my love to all also the boys hoping they are quite well by now so will close with love from your loving brother, Charlie xxxxxxx
