Brothers George Arthur and Ernest Campbell Evans who fought during the First World War

Brothers George Arthur Evans (standing) and Ernest Campbell Evans both served with the Welsh Regiment throughout the war. George Arthur was born 8 August 1897 and was a shoemaker after the war. His brother was born 21 September 1899 and was a blacksmith, having learnt his trade at Swansea docks. He twice contracted pneumonia and was sent home to be nursed by his mother, before being sent back to fight. Both survived the war.
