Frederick William Griffiths (standing) and his father Andrew Thomas Griffiths both enlisted at Haverfordwest in 1915. Frederick William Griffiths, born 19 April 1899, served only thirteen days before it was discovered that he was underage; at sixteen, he was three years younger than the Army allowed at that time. He joined later when conscription was introduced in 1917.
