Description
Private George Norman was from Crymlyn Burrows, Port Tennant, Swansea, the son of George and Margaret Norman. He volunteered for the Second Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment and was killed during the Third Battle of Ypres on 16 August 1917. This letter was sent the day after his death and was returned to his parents with his belongings. His name appears on the Tyne Cot Material in Belgium which bears the names of almost 35,000 officers and men whose graves are not known.
