This photograph comes from a collection of items relating to Robert Vernon Carter Williams, a Second Lieutenant with the 21st Reserve Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers during the First World War. He underwent training at Kinmel Camp, Bodelwyddan during 1916 and these are likely to be some of the soldiers under his command.
