Private Lewis Hugh Williams of Tyddyn Pwyth, Llanedwen served with the 14 Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He died in Holyhead hospital on 12 February 1921 aged 24 after suffering the effects of gassing during the Great War. The funeral was featured in all the local papers of the day.
