Trench Periscope, c.1916 [image 1 of 3]
Description
Private 31352 Alfred Rich of the 19th Battalion Welsh Regiment was killed on the 11th July 1916 clearing barbed wire in front of the German lines. It is believed that the periscope formed part of his possessions that were returned to his wife after he was killed.
