This certificate was awarded to Edgar Evans (1906 - 1989) at the age of 10 yrs in 1916 for gifts he and his school sent to the soldiers and sailors of the Great War. The pupils of Golan School, Garndolbenmaen collected Sphagnum Moss from the marshes to be used as cotton wool in military hospitals.
