Description
Rifleman Albert Edward Rees (1897-1974) served with the 1st Monmouthshire as part of the British Expeditionary Force. At age 17 he fought in the Battle of Mons, the first battle of the War. In this photograph we see 1st B.E.F, Real Angels of Mon HQ Mess, Albert is seated right. Albert also fought at the first battle of Ypres, 1915.
