Description

Frank Hopkins (born in Hafod, Swansea on 5 September 1896) worked in Swansea Docks before the war. He served with the Anson Battalion of the Royal Naval Division, and was reported dead in October 1917. The family received this message of condolence from the King, but in January 1918 they learned that Frank was in fact in a German prisoner-of-war camp.
