John Richards in naval uniform
Description
John Richards, born in Port Tennant, Swansea, on 20 April 1898 joined the Royal Navy when the war started, but his mother managed to extract him as he was under-age. When he turned 18 he joined the Welsh Regiment and fought in the Salonika campaign and in Egypt / Palestine.
