In September 1941 the Odean at Llandudno is "presenting the world's entertainment". This programme shows that during the second world war, people in Llandudno still had access to the latest in film entertainment, from Britain and USA.
This is the second year of the war and at first glance the programme seems to have little to do with the war. Lady Hamilton, later called That Hamilton Woman, is a just released b/w British historical film directed by Alexander Korda. and this film set during the Crimean War, shows Britain's struggle against the dictator (Napolean) who seeks to dominate the world!
You'll Find Out is a 1940 comedy also starring Boris Karloff and Marx Brothers Go West and Bitter Sweet were also made in 1940. Love on the Dole is a 1941 British film and Invisible Woman (1940) is a b/w science fiction comedy film from USA.
