Description

The Welsh-speaking village of Capel Celyn was flooded in the 1960s to supply drinking water for Liverpool.

This lone cup and saucer set comes from the Capel Celyn Calvinistic Methodist Chapel which held its last service on 28 September 1963. The item was given to the Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales in 1964.
