The man sitting to the right hand side of the Mayor (from the mayor's viewpoint) is I D Hooson, the Welsh poet from Rhosllanerchrugog. The man in the bow tie sitting next to the lady on the mayor's left hand side looks like Lord Howard de Walden of Chirk Castle, who was closely involved in the staging of the Welsh premiere of Pobun, a Welsh language version of the German Austrian play Jedermann (Everyman), which as far as is known appears to have involved every Welsh speaker available for miles around, as well as a few very well respected professionals. The man sitting on Lord Howard's left is William Aston, local businessman, philanthropist and councillor.
