Description

Letter from Emily Dix, to Miss Currie 20.12.1940 regarding geological specimens in Pembrokeshire. Emily Dix became a famous lady geologist, was born in the Gower. In 1930 she was offered a position at Bedford College in London (all female), which suffered a direct hit during World War II and she lost all her specimens and work. Suffered mental depression and spent time at the Quaker Mental Hospital. Died 1972.
