My dearest friend,
I enclose yesterday's
two papers. They were
really favourable & my
reading had covered most of
the ground ; but I was
far from well at this time;
just now, in fact, I
[new page]
a cake for me as soon
as possible. I will
write to them after Schools.

feel like a catastrophe for not going to look for lodging for you its quite impossible; all I can do after Schools is to lie on my back in a punt. It would be the greatest pleasure in the world to be with you and Merfyn but not near
Oxford. You and Oxford are incompatible. Besides everything makes it unwise and unsafe.
Haynes is not up today, but will probably be up next Sunday.
Thank Father for his letter and show him the papers. You might also and Mother I should imagine
