My dearest friend
I got here long before 4 and am well pleased.

Of my only adventure on the way you have fortunately heard: don't give the cab man 1/- if you can help it, for he say 'made an agreement' to pay 5/- whereas I (illegible)

Morgan has plans of a cheap sea voyage with a friend's ship to Sicily or the Canary Islands in a fortnight, but I can't yet decide to accept - my reasons
i) you need a holiday, and I want one.
