Description

Letter from Edward Thomas to his wife, Helen Thomas. Archival reference: 424/1/1/1/1/97
61 Shelgate Road

Helen,

Will you, if I may get that book by Peter's, Imaginary Portraits, send me something for it? If you send more than it will cost (about 5/-) I will either make a bookshelf or bank something.

Excuse this sordid
note. You are happy aren't you? I was tonight: only I was rather dilapidated in mind.

Goodbye

If you can, post by the first clearance tomorrow; for I intend going to Town and visiting the National Gallery.
I got safely and quickly home, and in better spirits than I expected.

By the way if you would prefer any other book to this, mention it.

Goodbye, my dearest friend, my own sweet little one.

Edward
