My Dear Gordon,

This completes them. I hope it
is not all unpleasant. What repetitions
there are. All that Traherne stuff is
[illegible] honestly it is mere filling -
I was pressed for time, & the idiot of a
publisher insisted on a certain length
& so I had to do what I could. It
certainly is the worst book I have done.
Of course if you are not able to correct
the proof please say so & return them.
