Description

Letter from Edward Thomas to the poet Gordon Bottomley. Sent from Steep, Petersfield, Hampshire. Archival ref: 424/1/1/1/10/188
May 29th 1914 Steep

My dear Gordon,

Then I shall most likely come on
the 13th & hope to find you recovering
from Whitsun. But Helen can't come
then & later on when we are together
we shall have too little time, or that is
what we should have done. She is sorry &
I expect will write to Emily. Frost's book
is out & some things I have read in it are
excellent. It is getting back to pure
speech rhythms is going to do good & to
provoke the Noyeses among bards & critics. I
hope you will see the book - & if you approve
could you issue an order to Marsh?
Your & Emily's ever
Edward Thomas
