My dear Gordon
On Monday I go to London for
a fortnight of the British Museum & I
am working to get rid of all reviewing
up to date, also at an impudent
introduction to George Herbert for Everyman
In the Street. So I cannot take more than
a minute or two to congratulate you on
drafting Gunnar and finding Eileen Raven.
It is a good name, different from Helen
Alexander which I noticed lately, also a
good name. I will look at Bronwen (in the Mabinogion G. B) some
day & see.
Deirdre is perhaps the most perfect
thing Yeat's has done, but I didn't like it most,
perhaps because I resent more & more his
giving drugs to all the Irish heroes in turn.
Margaret Woods doesn't interest me, not a bit.
Will you tell me as definitely as
you can soon when you could come here,
because I want to be sure before I arrange for
another short visit to Wiltshire & a
long one to cottage on the sea
near Dunwich where I hope to write my
Jefferies.
I could give you a Margaret Woods if
you liked when you come here.
With our love to you both
Ever yours
Edward Thomas
