Statue of Mary Cornelia Vane-Tempest (1909)
Description
Bust of Mary Cornelia Vane-Tempest (1826-1906) sponsored by the people of Machynlleth and created by Feodora von Gleichen. It was erected in 1909 in the garden of the almshouses before being moved to its current location after the Plas was gifted to the people of Machynlleth in 1948.
The photograph was taken during the bicentennial birthday celebrations organised by the town library on 6 June 2026.
