This is film of an interview with Mr John Roberts of Aberystwyth, conducted in the Welsh language by Miss Jessica Davies, on behalf of Age Cymru Dyfed. The interview documents John's experience of National Service in the Royal Army Pay Corps between 1959 and 1961. John underwent basic training at a barracks in Wiltshire, before being posted to Pontefract barracks, the historical home of the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.
