Mr J.P. Davies with his milk float, Aberystwyth Show, 1949
Description
The milk float, was made by Thomas, Carriage Builders of Southgate, Aberystwyth.
It was used from 1910 - 1950 by the Davies family of Llanbadarn to sell milk.
The large churn was filled with milk and from it the hand-can was filled and then taken from
door to door where the milk was measured out to the customers with the small measures.
The milk float is on display at Ceredigion Museum.
