Farm buildings at Llaneithyr, Ysbytty Cynfyn, Ceredigion, 2026

Description

Photograph of the farm buildings at Llaneithyr, a sheep farm in the parish of Ysbytty Cynfyn, near Devil's Bridge, Ceredigion. The farmhouse, which was barely ten years old when a farming family moved there in the mid-1840s, was considered a fine house for its time. Llaneithyr was built in the 1820s by John Jones (1790–1845), and following his death, the property was taken on by tenant farmers. The farm was noted for having some of the finest sheep walks in the area, though during and after the First World War, the land was planted with trees, marking the beginning of the farm's decline. The building was photographed in 2026 as a record of its surviving structures.
