Description

This collection of letters from Ann Clwyd's files were written between 24 March and 23 May 1984. Steffan Webb, the secretary of the Cardiff branch of Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg wrote to the director of the postal services in Wales concerning the provision of bilingual and Welsh language services by the postal service to its customers. The covering letter was written in English, attached to a longer letter in Welsh and Steffan requested a prompt reply in Welsh.
Copies of the May letter were also sent to members of each Welsh political party.
