"The recipes I'm uploading are ones that were used on my family's farms ever since anybody can remember. One recipe - I've named it the Miser's Feast- uses bacon and any fresh seasonal vegetables available. It's been passed down to me via my mother and my aunts. I remember going to collect the vegetables to make the dish, and the pigs being slaughtered for bacon. All of the ingredients are cooked in one pot, and could be left for the day whist we were out working at the farm or tending to the animals- quick and easy home-cooked food."
