Description

This is a postcard from the Barry Council of Evangelical Churches outlining the joint protest action taken by the churches in Barry in 1922. They were protesting against the Barry Urban District Council sanctioning the running of Sunday buses and charabancs for "needless purposes", descrating the Sabbath and supporting seven days labour.
The postcard notes that 22 of the 24 Churches supported the last appeal and asks for the churches to appoint three delegates to attend the council meeting on 14 August with a Church deputation.
